Set over 2,000 metres above sea level the Serena Mountain Lodge is situated on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya. Surrounded by clean mountain air and crystal blue skies this wooden hotel has an open air viewing deck looking down on its own water hole and salt lick. For all keen photographers there’s a tunnel leading to a photo hide right beside the water hole which makes for a fantastic photo opportunity.

Accommodation is in ‘cabin’ style rooms and the décor highlights the Kikuyu culture and each cabin comes equipped with all modern amenities and the extra bonus of hot water bottles at night! Activities on offer at the lodge include, guided bush walks through the forest, trout fishing on one of the many clear mountain streams and five day luxury treks to the mountains peaks.
