See Etosha and so much more on a Namibia safari

There are so many reasons to go on a Namibia safari. One of the most sparsely populated countries on earth, Namibia boats some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable and a number of magical national parks packed with wildlife. From the spectacular Fish River Canyon – one of Africa’s most awe inspiring sights – to the grandeur of Etosha National Park and the haunting beauty of the Skeleton Coast, a safari in Namibia is like a safari in no other country.

Highlights include:

Etosha National Park: One of the largest parks in Africa and owes its unique landscape to the mineral rich Etosha Pan. The total pan area covers 5,000 square km and in the Herero language Etosha means 'Great White Place' due to the sun making the surface of the pan dazzlingly white. Etosha is the most popular option for travellers wishing to experience a Namibia safari.

Namin Naukluft Park: Namibia’s largest. A mountainous area of desert and gravel plains with stunning scenery and great hiking trails. Home to herds of Hartmann’s mountain zebras and the bird sanctuary at Sandwich Harbour, there’s no shortage of wildlife to see here.

Bwabwata National Park: A newly created park meaning ‘bubbling springs’ where you can see animals and people living together in relative harmony in this long term conservation initiative.  One of the best times in the year for excellent and reliable game watching is in October. Game concentrates at the last remaining waterholes along the Kwando River. A favourite place is Horseshoe, as the name suggests, a large perennial oxbow lake with picturesque white-sand beaches, surrounded by Zambezi teak woodlands.

Fish River Canyon: Hot springs and hiking trails, the canyon, which is the largest in Africa, is a photographer's dream. It’s an unforgiving environment, but somehow leopards, zebras and kudus have managed to call this place home.

Mudumu National Park: A true African wilderness experience in this beautiful mountain plateau reserve, where a staggering 430 species of bird can be observed. Also present are buffalos, elephants, zebras, antelopes. hippos and crocodiles.
