Practical information
Arrival & Departure Information – Tanzania has two International airports, the larger of which is Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam and the smaller Kilimanjaro International Airport which has close access to the National Parks in the North of Tanzania including Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and the Serengeti. Upon arrival you will be met by a representative from Albatros Tanzania who will brief you on your safari and offer a few useful tips. You will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha and you will also be transferred to the airport at the end of your safari for your onward arrangements. Depending on your flight timings it may be necessary to have an additional overnight in Arusha or Dar Es Salaam at the beginning or end of your safari (at an additional cost). Please let us know if you would like to be picked up at a hotel or the airport. If you have already booked your flight, let us know your flight details.
Visas - All foreigners from non-Commonwealth countries are required to have a valid visa unless their countries have agreements with Tanzania under which the visa requirement is waived. Citizens of Commonwealth countries are not required to obtain visas unless they are citizens of the United Kingdom, Canada, Nigeria, or India. The cost of a single entry visa is US$50 per person. Visas can be purchased on arrival, in the case of most nationals, in all major currencies. Please refer to your local Tanzanian representation for further clarification.
Health Requirements - Yellow Fever certificate required if arriving from an endemic area. Please visit your doctor for further medical precautionary advice.
